Disposition Portal and My Account: Listings, Favorites, Offers, and Messages
Direct answer: Use the public Disposition Portal to browse eligible listings and open property details. Sign in when your organization requires an authenticated action or when you want to keep saved properties, inquiries, offers, messages, Buy Box criteria, Files, and account activity together. In My Account, open the specific category or record before acting because a favorite, inquiry, offer, and accepted property represent different stages.
Before you start
Use only the portal address provided by the organization managing the listing.
Confirm that the page shows the expected company branding and secure sign-in experience before entering account information.
Do not treat a visible listing as proof that it is still available or that displayed terms have been accepted.
Use one customer account for your activity. Creating another account can divide saved properties, messages, and offers.
Internal teams should verify the Property Transaction supplying the listing before answering questions or changing access.
The public portal and My Account are connected but have different purposes. Public pages show inventory that is eligible for visitor access. My Account shows information associated with the signed-in customer and the sections the organization has chosen to expose.
Browse and save a listing
Open Properties from the portal navigation.
Use the available sort and filters, which can include location, bedrooms, bathrooms, terms, and status.
Open the intended listing card and review the heading, availability, price, address treatment, property facts, media, and contact actions.
Use the displayed favorite or save control when you want the property retained in your account.
Sign in if prompted, then return to the property and confirm it appears under My Account > Properties > Saved.
A saved property is a bookmark. It is not an inquiry, an Offer, proof of availability, or permission for the company to contact you through every channel. A portal can mask the full address or require an approved action before showing it.
Sign in and continue the same journey
Select Sign In from the shared portal header and use the account your organization recognizes. Depending on portal policy, the dialog can also provide password recovery and registration. A new registration can require approval before access becomes active.
After signing in, confirm that the header offers My Account and Sign Out, then return to the listing or account section you intended to use. If the portal sends you to a different page, use My Account > Properties to find the saved, inquiry, or Offer record instead of submitting the action again.
Never share a password, activation link, or recovery link with support. Internal administrators can review access state without asking for the customer's credentials.
Use My Account as the signed-in workspace

The current My Account experience can include Properties, Showings, Messages, Buy Box, Entities, Files, Contact Information, and Portal Activity. The organization controls labels, order, visibility, default section, property views, message attachments, and whether Buy Boxes can be edited.
Under Properties, the available categories can include:
| Category | What it means | | --- | --- | | Saved | Properties the customer bookmarked for later review. | | Inquiries | Properties about which the customer submitted a question or contact action. | | Offers | Submitted Offer records and their current displayed status. | | My Properties | Eligible accepted or closed property context associated with the customer. | | Archive | Older property activity retained for reference. |
Counts and summary tiles help with orientation, but the property card or Offer is the source to open before taking action.
Submit and review an Offer
From an eligible listing, select Make an Offer and complete only the terms you are prepared to submit. Review the property, buyer or buying entity, amount, earnest money, proposed close date, financing, intent, contact details, and any approved support File. Submit once and wait for the confirmation.
Then open My Account > Properties > Offers and find the same property. Review the Offer amount, status, financing, and available actions. For an eligible Offer still in New status, Manage Offer can allow updates to displayed terms or cancellation after confirmation. Reopen the card after saving.
A submitted Offer is not acceptance, funding, contract completion, or closing. The displayed status and the organization's direct confirmation remain separate evidence.
Message about a property
Use Message about this property from a listing when the question belongs to one property. The signed-in launcher keeps the conversation tied to that Property Transaction so the internal team can answer in the same context.
Use My Account > Messages for both general and property-specific conversations. Select the thread, confirm the property heading when present, enter the message, attach only an approved File when attachments are enabled, and select Send once. The shared-header launcher can open the same durable threads without leaving the current portal page.
A sent message confirms that the portal saved it to the conversation. It does not prove that a team member has read or answered it. Internal users should respond from the matching portal Chat thread in Activity Composer rather than starting an unrelated SMS or email when continuity matters.
Maintain the Buy Box
Open My Account > Buy Box to review the buying criteria stored for your relationship. When editing is enabled, criteria can include target markets, counties, cities, ZIP codes, property types, bedroom and bathroom ranges, living and lot size, year built, price, deal types, financing, and notes.
Review the current summary before editing.
Change only criteria that should remain reusable beyond one listing.
Save once.
Reopen the summary and confirm the retained values.
A Buy Box expresses durable buying criteria. It is not an Offer, qualification decision, guarantee of matching inventory, or consent to communicate.
Review Showings, Files, and profile information
Use Showings for available upcoming appointment context and, when enabled, the signed-in check-in action during its displayed window. A hidden check-in control can mean the window is not open, the appointment is not eligible, or check-in already occurred.
Use Files only for customer-safe documents exposed through the configured account relationships. Use Contact Information and Entities to review the fields the organization allows customers to maintain. A portal-entered buying entity does not replace the organization's legal-verification process.
Understand account activity and access

Portal Activity can summarize recorded logins, page views, property views, engaged time, forms, and other available engagement. These are operational indicators. They are not a complete security audit, billing record, or proof of buying intent.
Authorized internal users can review the matching Portal Access state for a Contact, Person Account, or Prospect. Depending on state and permission, the card can show access status, temporary sign-in lock, last activity, page context, and actions such as approve, reject, block, unblock, unlock sign-in, or send a reset link.
Before changing access, the administrator should confirm both the person and portal. Blocking a portal identity does not replace Salesforce sharing, privacy, consent, or communication-suppression controls.
Verify the journey end to end
Open the portal in a private browser window.
Find the intended listing using a visitor-facing filter or sort.
Open the detail and compare its public values with the approved source transaction.
Save the listing, sign in, and confirm it appears under Saved.
Use one approved synthetic inquiry, Offer, or message when the test plan permits it.
In My Account, confirm the resulting property category, Offer, or thread.
In 8020CRM, confirm the result is related to the intended customer and Property Transaction and has an accountable owner.
The public success message proves that the portal returned success. The resulting Salesforce record and relationship prove what was retained.
Troubleshooting
A listing is missing: Check the correct portal, filters, current eligibility, listing status, required public information, access, and expected processing delay.
A saved property is missing: Confirm the customer signed into the same account, the save completed, and Properties > Saved has no search or category conflict.
Sign-in or recovery does not work: Confirm the email, registration or approval state, temporary lock, active portal access, and the most recent approved recovery message. Do not create another account as the first fix.
An Offer is missing or stale: Confirm the property, customer, Offer status, save result, access, and whether the action was submitted more than once.
A property message is missing: Confirm the signed-in customer, selected general or property thread, Property Transaction heading, send result, and attachment access.
Buy Box changes did not remain: Reopen the summary, check whether editing is enabled, and review required or allowed values before saving again.
Portal Activity looks incomplete: Confirm the account identity, time range, tracked page, and processing delay. Use source records for an audited event history.
Pro tip: Use Saved for interest, Messages for questions, Offers for proposed terms, and the Buy Box for reusable criteria. Keeping those meanings separate makes both the customer account and the internal buyer relationship easier to work.
