Overview
Rehab levels in 8020CRM help you define consistent project scopes across renovation types - from light cleanups to full remodels. Customizing these levels allows you to streamline task management, budgeting, and team alignment across multiple properties or markets.
Before You Begin
You must have System Admin permissions to access and edit rehab levels from My GetReal Account > Setup > Features and Settings.
Why It Matters
Standardizes project planning across deals and teams
Prevents duplication of tasks between levels
Improves cost estimation and execution tracking
Speeds up project setup using repeatable scopes
Step 1: Access Rehab Level Settings
Go to My GetReal Account
Click Setup
Select Features and Settings
Navigate to the Project Management section
Select Rehab Levels

Step 2: Understand Default Rehab Levels
8020CRM comes pre-loaded with five cumulative rehab levels. Each higher level includes the tasks from all levels beneath it unless removed manually.
Rehab Level | Example Scope |
---|---|
Level 1 | Cleaning, carpet replacement, interior paint, drywall repair |
Level 2 | Level 1 + hard surface flooring, fixture upgrades |
Level 3 | Add kitchen and bathroom work |
Level 4 | Add exterior updates and light landscaping |
Level 5 | Full remodel, heavy landscaping, and system updates |
This structure supports consistent estimating and clean task tracking.
Step 3: Modify Rehab Levels
To customize levels:
Select the level (e.g., Level 1)
Add or remove tasks to match your company’s scope
When you add a task to a lower level, 8020CRM automatically removes it from higher levels to avoid duplication
Repeat for all five levels, if needed

Example
If you add “Trash Out” to Level 1, it will be removed from Levels 2 - 5. You can re-add it manually to other levels if needed.
Step 4: Review Scope Summary and Save
At the bottom of the settings panel:
Review the list of tasks included in each level
Confirm that each level reflects your SOPs
The system automatically saves your finalized customizations
Best Practices
Use consistent task naming across markets
Keep Level 1 minimal to preserve logical scope progression
Clone rehab sets for different strategies (e.g., Flip vs. Rental)
Review your levels quarterly to reflect changes in cost or process
Coordinate with your calculators or budget templates for alignment
